I can’t help but think about time running out to remind people to get out and vote.
By now, I’m sure that I’m not alone when I say that I’m tired of the back and forth rhetoric between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I’m also disgusted and angry every time I see a television commercial that shows Trump demeaning women and mocking people with disabilities. I know that no one is perfect (except Christ), and that it is wrong to judge others as stated in Matthew 7:1 and Matthew 7:2-5 (“Judge not lest ye be judged." and "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged.”), but when I think about how we all are God’s children and how Trump disrespects people seemingly without any remorse, compassion or feeling I wonder how badly God’s heart is grieved.
Would Mr. Trump have the same cavalier attitude if someone verbally attacked his wife or daughters the way he has attacked others? Luke 6:31 states: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
Being president of the United States or holding any position of authority over others is a privilege and not one to be taken likely. Since the well-being of the American people lies in the balance, one must think before taking action and not just do as he/she pleases. Ephesians 6:7 states: “With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:”
So with that being said, it is with much angst that I will wait for the results of this presidential election, but it is with much prayer that I ask God to speak to the heart of whomever He allows to win.
Vote as if your life depends on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
