Have you ever wondered why it sometimes feels that you are being attacked by negative forces?  If you are a follower of Christ you should not be surprised.

John 15:18 says, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Also in Luke 21:17 it states, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.” Jesus told his disciples that because they were His followers that they would experience difficulties in life.  He explained to them that the world would "hate" them because of their belief in Him and to expect this because they hated Him. The good thing is that He didn't leave it there.

Jesus gave His assurance that even though tough times would surely come, He would be there with us through it all. He said that when the devil or his demons are coming against us that we are to stand and hold onto His word. Proverbs 30:5 states, "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him” and Ephesians 6:11 says, “We are to put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”

It is because of the truth of His word that we can find refuge and take comfort when dealing with attacks from demonic forces and know that if we keep the faith and not waiver in our belief of God that in the end we will be rewarded. Hebrews 13:5 says, ... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Matthew 5:12 says, ” Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
